The use of a vacuum has long been acknowledged as the theoretically ideal dielectric environment. After more than fifteen years in
development, the Zero from TARA Labs has made it a reality. The Zero begins with Rectangular Solid Core® conductors, the world’s
most open, revealing and neutral conductor design available. These conductors are suspended in a Teflon air-tube™ of proprietary
design, and a vacuum is drawn within the chambers of the tube. This seemingly impossible task was achieved with the development of
specialized RCA and XLR plugs. The sophisticated design draws upon technologies from other industries, such as mass flow control
and aerospace engineering, and requires manufacturing of Mil Spec precision. The result is clarity and precision which is only hinted at
by the specs: an unprecedented capacitance of just 4 pF/foot. Matched with a system that is equal to the task, the Zero is as close to
musical perfection as a cable can come.
